MLPS (Medical Leaflets = Patient safety) announces the launch of their new website www.mlps-leaflet.org.

The European Carton Makers Association (ECMA) has released Best Practice Guidelines for Pharmaceutical Secondary Packaging, demonstrating the core focus that the European pharma folding carton sector has on patient & consumer health & safety.

The fibre-based packaging sector acknowledges the Commission’s proposal for a Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation and looks forward to supporting an evidence-based approach during the next stages of the legislative process.

The Packaging & Packaging Waste Regulation is scheduled to be released by the European Commission in week 48… although it will likely be delayed by a few days.

ECMA and its members regularly receive questions about the conformity of printing inks on packaging which comes into direct contact with food and about the use of appropriate inks for such specific applications. Some legislation and the terminology used, can lead to confusion.
